Our Studs
At Gichigami, we take great pride in our beautiful, thick puppies and dogs. We believe that the journey to producing healthy, stunning puppies begins with their parents. Our studs prioritize structure and health, complemented by amazing temperaments, with color being a secondary consideration.
We adhere to high health standards for all our dogs, who undergo thorough health testing through Embark and are cleared. We ensure that our French Bulldogs are of appropriate size, promoting their health and joint integrity as they age. This commitment means we do not offer “micro” or “mini” French Bulldogs; instead, all our dogs are thick and proportionate to the breed's ideal structure.
Our focus includes open nostrils, correct ear placement, and healthy eyes, joints, and hips. Our studs are always happy-go-lucky, non-aggressive dogs, as we do not breed for undesirable personalities. We emphasize kind and gentle natures, ensuring these traits are passed down to the puppies we produce.
We also cherish our special exotic-colored French Bulldogs alongside our standard colors. However, we have specific guidelines regarding the colors we offer in our studs. Our studs possess a diverse DNA profile, allowing for various coat color options depending on the female they are paired with. We can assist you in determining potential outcomes based on your female's lineage.
Colors we do not offer include Merle, fluffy, Koi, husky, pink, and brindle.
While we focus on tan points, we can also produce a wide range of colors within that area.
We can also help you produce platinums, creams, solid colors and fawns, each with several variations, again depending on your female.

gichigami’s whistler
Meet Whistler, our main stud and an exceptional example of outstanding breeding with remarkable health attributes. At just two years old, he is a product of our dam, “Gichigami’s Everything’s Better with Butter,” and sired by “Blue Buddha Golden Child” from Blue Buddha Frenchies.
We have meticulously traced his lineage four generations back on both sides, and it’s clear that this impressive breeding is reflected in
Whistler's amazing qualities. He boasts a spectacular temperament—there's not a mean bone in his body, and this shines through in his puppies. Over the past year, we’ve bred him with several of our females and have retained some of his offspring for our program because we’re so pleased with them! Whistler consistently produces beautiful, robust, and kind-tempered puppies in a variety of colors.
Whistler is a lilac and tan who carries both testable and untestable chocolate, as well as blue and cream, demonstrating his rich genetic potential. He weighs 27 pounds and has a short, thick build.
